IGBT Module with competitively low switching losses

Low switching losses offers benefits for end user applications

The DIM1500ESM33-TF000 high power IGBT module with low switching losses offers a number of benefits for end user applications Dynex offer IGBT modules optimised for different applications. The DIM1500ESM33-TF000 high power IGBT module with low switching losses offers a number of benefits for end user applications including maximised system efficiency and reliable operation in severe environments. It is targeted for use in applications where the switching frequency is such that switching losses dominate the total operating losses of the module. 

DIM1500ESM33-TF000 is a single switch 3300V IGBT with n-channel enhancement mode and a wide reverse bias safe operating area (RBSOA) plus 10μs short circuit withstand. This device is optimised for traction drives, DC-DC converters, active front end rectifiers, motor controllers and other applications requiring high thermal cycling capability such as solar inverters. The low switching losses reduces power dissipation and improves current handling.

For lower frequency or DC applications the DIM1500ESM33-TS000 and DIM1500ESM33-TL000 are available which may provide a better optimisation. For more information, please refer to application note AN6353: Dynex High Power IGBT Optimization Guide.

The IGBT module incorporates an electrically isolated base plate and low inductance construction enabling circuit designers to optimise circuit layouts and utilise grounded heat sinks for safety.
