We are currently seeking to appoint a highly experienced Wafer Fab Process Engineer to provide support in our wafer fabrication area including process and maintenance, reviewing and analysing defect data, SPC review and corrective actions. The successful applicant should possess expert equipment knowledge of vacuum technology and systems as well as a high level of electrical/electronic experience. The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail and will possess a ‘can do’ attitude as well as having the ability to contribute towards the department’s development by sharing their own specialist knowledge.

Dynex Semiconductor Limited manufactures a wide variety of high power semiconductor devices and assemblies which improve the reliability and control of electrical energy in applications such as power transmissions and distribution systems, marine and railway propulsion, renewable power generation schemes and industrial motor drives.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

Process engineering experience and proven understanding, performance and responsibility in: Diffusion; CVD; PVD; ion implant and Sputter

Experience of: PFMEA; SPC and Continuous Improvement activities

Experience in setting up and operating equipment

Knowledge of management systems including FMEA, SPC etc.

Degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant science discipline

Experience working in a volume semiconductor manufacturing environment is desirable or extensive research experience from a PhD

 

Key Tasks

Provide process technical support to our IGBT and FRD facilities, concentrating on maintain and optimising manufacturing capability

Leading projects based on improvement and process development

Reporting against targets to identify issues and improvements

Responsibility for carrying out problem solving activities

Working with other teams to ensure best process engineering practices are maintained

Re-qualify processes / equipment following maintenance activities so as to ensure process conformance

Training and qualification of manufacturing operators

Maintenance of Process Specifications.

Ensure that Departmental Procedures are conformed to

Respond to situations with appropriate actions on lots and equipment

Document and communicate all ongoing technical issues at shift changeovers

Sustain and where necessary improve Cpk levels on all processes in order to meet agreed targets.

Carry out technical improvement projects aimed at improving yield, etc.
