Section Leader - Stores
We are seeking to appoint 2 Section Leaders within our Stores function. This role will support the activities of the Logistics Manager to ensure that the goods-inwards & stores functions are completed in line with work scheduling requirements and that any concerns/areas for improvement are dealt with swiftly with a view to minimising impact to departmental activities.
Dynex Semiconductor Limited manufactures a wide variety of high power semiconductor devices and assemblies which improve the reliability and control of electrical energy in applications such as power transmissions and distribution systems, marine and railway propulsion, renewable power generation schemes and industrial motor drives.
We currently have over 350 employees and are seeking to appoint two Section Leaders withn our Stores function. The main tasks and responsibilities will be to process products in a timely fashion to suit production activities, assist the line manager in ensuring all Goods Inwards, Stores & Despatch activities are done in a controlled manner ensuring stock accuracy is priority and ensure most appropriate and cost effective transport methods are used; whilst ensuring customer requirements are met.
To be successful in this role you will have a positive can do attitude and have the ability to work to defined Policy’s and guidelines. You will be able to lead and motivate a team, etablish, create and maintain effective working relationships with in-house specialists in order to improve/resolve or remedy production tasks/activities and promote and support cross-departmental co-operation.
Suitable candidates will have the following aptitude/abilities:
Strong leadership skills
Familiar with the functions and processes associated with Goods Inwards, Stock Control, Part Issuing & the despatching of goods.
Working knowledge of Incoterms 2010
Knowledge of customs clearance procedures
Basic computer skills
Experience of motivating a team
Assist the line manager in ensuring all Goods Inwards, Stores & Despatch activities are done in a controlled manner
Identify most appropriate and cost effective transport methods
Ensure orders are shipped according to the correct Incoterms
Update Epicor & Exportmaster software with transactions
Ensure stock levels are kept to a relevant level to the business activity
Adhere to all shipping legal requirements
Carry out stock counting procedures and ensure stock checks are up to date
Adhere to all current Health & Safety legislation

Hours of work:
7.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday 30 minute unpaid meal break
7.30am – 3.00pm Friday 30 minute unpaid meal break
