We are seeking to appoint a Principle Reliability Engineer to join our Research and Development Centre. The main tasks and responsibilities will be to work in a team to focus on power module reliability and health monitoring of existing and new products, setting up prognostics and health management systems for power modules and conducting reliability tests and experiments.

Dynex Semiconductor Limited manufactures a wide variety of high power semiconductor devices and assemblies which improve the reliability and control of electrical energy in applications such as power transmissions and distribution systems, marine and railway propulsion, renewable power generation schemes and industrial motor drives.

We currently have over 350 employees and are seeking to appoint a Principle Reliability Engineer to join our Research and Development centre. The main tasks and responsibilities will be to work in a team to focus on power module reliability and health monitoring of existing and new products, setting up prognostics and health management systems for power modules and conducting reliability tests and experiments.

To be successful in this role you will be flexible to meet the demands of the company, have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team and have strong time management skills.

Suitable candidates will have the following aptitude/abilities:

Minimum Skills/Experience:

Hold a PhD degree or a Masters degree with at least 2-3 years work experience in a reserach role

Effective communicator with specialist and non specialist colleagues

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Flexible to meet business demands

Good time management skills

Key Tasks:

Working in a team to focus on power module reliability and health monitoring of existing and new products

Contributing own knowledge and experiences in design team to setup power electronics module reliability platform

Setting up prognostics and health management system for power modules

Working on reliability investigations of high power IGBT modules, new design modules, SiC modules

Conducting reliability tests and experiments to check component performance, providing reliability data and findings for reliability analysis and improvement

Working together with power assembly team/design team/process team to analyse and optimise power system/power modules challenges

Assisting colleagues in reliability designing of different EM/thermal/mechanical in detail and dealing with difficulties/problems met in design/process/manufacturing

8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday             1 hour unpaid meal break

8.30am – 4.30pm Friday                                    1 hour unpaid meal break
