Dynex is currently looking for a Principal Power Electronics Production Engineer to join the Bipolar Engineering Team. Reporting to the Bipolar Operations Manager, this role will work closely with the Bipolar Production team to drive production efficiency and yield improvements.

Hours; 8:30 – 17:00 Monday -Thursday and 8:30 -16:30 on a Friday (1hour unpaid lunch).

The Role

Dynex is currently looking for a Principal Power Electronics Production Engineer to join the Bipolar Engineering Team. Reporting to the Bipolar Operations Manager, this role will work closely with the Bipolar Production team to drive production efficiency and yield improvements.

About you

To be considered for the opportunity, you are required to have a Degree in Engineering, with circa 5 years’ experience in a role within a power electronics industry. With significant proven experience of leadership and the production process, it is key that you are passionate for continuous learning and improvement, willing to take on challenges and deliver results. This includes improvements in yield and in efficiencies in production. Due to nature of the role, strong data analysis is crucial, software such as Excel and Access Python.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyse production data to drive the culture of continuous improvement in Bipolar Operations team.
  • Improve production process efficiency with LEAN mind – set.
  • Monitor production yield variance for different products to drive yield improvement.
  • Manage production process routes.
  • Design of experiment for process improvement.
  • Monitor and reduce process rework rate.
  • Product failure analysis.
  • Support customer enquiries regarding to product specifications.
  • Datasheet update for specific application.
     

Core Skills

  • A Degree in Engineering, Power Electronics relevant is preferred.
  • A six – sigma qualification green belt or above.
  • Lean manufacture qualification.
  • Strong Leadership Skills.
  • Understand power electronics principles and applications.
  • Understand Six Sigma or Lean Methodologies.
