We are currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Operator to work within our Bipolar Fab Production department. The main tasks and responsibilities of the role will be ensuring that all Operator instructions are accurately followed, operating various types of equipment including aligners and wafer tracks. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as having a good working knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.

Salary:                          £19,008 per annum

                                     (inclusive of 15% shift premium and £240 a year gowning allowance)

 

Shift:    :                       Alternating shifts: Monday to Thursday - 6:00 to 14:00 

                                     Friday - 6:00 to 13.30   (with 30 minutes unpaid break)                                                              

                                      Monday to Thursday - 14:00 to 22.00, Friday- 13:30 to 21:00

Dynex Semiconductor Ltd have been manufacturing semiconductor products for over 60 years; providing IGBT, Bipolar, Power Assembly and Electric Vehicle System products to customers across the world. We are seeking to appoint an Operator within our Bipolar Basic Units department.

 

The Role

The purpose of the role is to support operational activities within the Bipolar Wafer Fabrication area by ensuring that production is completed and maintained to a high standard.  The main tasks and responsibilities will be operating machinery and acid cleaning of wafers.  The successful applicants will also be required to support the activities of the Manufacturing Group Leader and Section Leaders to ensure that work is completed to a high accuracy at all times to help keep waste to a minimum.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a positive can-do attitude and have the ability to work to defined Policy’s and guidelines. You will be able to work as part of a team and be able to integrate into the team. You will be customer focused and confident in a fast-paced working environment. You will also be flexible to meet production demands.  Due to the nature of the activities, this role will require the use of appropriate clean room clothing to minimise particle levels within the production area. Full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret both Operator / Engineering instructions
  • Conducting Photolithography processes
  • Working with Chemicals 
  • Ensuring that all Operator instructions are accurately followed
  • Identify new ways of working and make recommendations for potential improvements
  • Operate various types of equipment including aligners and wafer tracks
  • Cleaning and etching wafers using acids
  • Conducting some Inspection Processes
