We are seeking to appoint a Material Engineer to join our Research and Development Centre. The main responsibility of this role be to get involved in exciting current and new projects with a particular focus on power module packaging materials; research, experimentation, design, testing and documentation. The successful candidate must hold either a Bachelors or Masters degree in a Material Science or Engineering discipline.

We currently have over 330 employees and are seeking to appoint a Material Engineer to join our expanding Research and Development Centre.
Bachelors and Masters degree in a Material Science or Engineering related discipline
2 years industrial experience within semiconductor packaging materials or components is preferred
Ability to present data in a meaningful way that allows understanding by a diverse audience
Knowledge or experience of the challenges and requirements of semiconductor packaging material
Experimental experience in material engineering and research in a university, research institute or industry
Strong scientific experience on fundamental material analysis methods
A working knowledge of ISO and ASTM material standard test methods
Knowledge of bonding between two dissimilar materials and the ability to measure the bond strength in terms of reliability.
Undertake project related activities as a project-team member with a focus on power module packaging materials
Capable of carrying out research to a internationally recognised standard
Provide written and verbal engineering reports
Demonstrate dedication and achievement in achieving continuous improvement of procedures and test facilities to characterise materials in collaberation with the materials laboratory
Materials investigation and providing recommendations for high power electronic applications
