We are currently looking to appoint a suitably qualified/experienced In-House Recruitment Specialist who can join the HR team and quickly adapt to the environment and tasks at hand to positively contribute towards the continuous development of our HR Department. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running from day one with all aspects of the Recruitment life cycle. They will be responsible for overseeing the day to day recruitment for various departments across the business. You will work on a wide variety of roles from shop floor to senior management.

Dynex Semiconductor Limited are based on the outskirts of Lincoln and manufacture a wide variety of high power semiconductor devices and assemblies which improve the reliability and control of electrical energy in applications such as power transmissions and distribution systems, marine and railway propulsion, renewable power generation schemes and industrial motor drives.

We currently have over 350 employees and are in a period of significant growth which is planned to continue. We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified/experienced In-House Recruitment Specialist who can join the HR team and quickly adapt to the environment and tasks at hand to positively contribute towards the continuous development of our HR Department.

The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running from day one with all aspects of the Recruitment life cycle. They will be responsible for overseeing the day to day recruitment for various departments across the business. You will work on a wide variety of roles from shop floor to senior management. This is an operational role managing a high volume, challenging and demanding workload and ideal for someone who has a passion for recruitment and continually wanting to improve processes.

Suitable candidates will have the following aptitude/abilities:

Minimum Skills/Experience:

  • Level 3 or above CIPD qualified
  • Solid internal recruitment background ideally within a manufacturing environment (approximately 2 years’ experience in similar role)
  • Proven experience of direct recruitment and advertising campaigns using a wide variety of methods such as advertising, job boards and social media
  • Good understanding of employment legislation relating to recruitment
  • Experience of generating reports relating to recruitment statistics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Well-presented / professional
  • Self-starter, who can work on own or part of a team, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deal with high volume and high variety work load
  • Strong communicator and someone who is articulate, able to converse and engage across all levels within the workforce
  • Proficient user of MS Office and HR systems

Key Tasks:

  • Ownership of all recruitment from shop floor to senior management from point of approval to employee start date
  • Ensure roles are filled within the agreed time scale managing stakeholder expectations throughout
  • Liaise with hiring managers to complete role briefs and candidate requirements
  • Planning and coordinating recruitment campaigns; writing and posting adverts, monitoring responses, reviewing and shortlisting applicants
  • Processing offer documentation and assisting with the induction process
  • Managing resourcing events and building relationships with external bodies including universities
  • Assisting hiring managers with interview and assessment centre preparation
  • Manage PSL performance, report on agency spend and carry out annual PSL reviews
  • Pro-actively generate new ideas to unlock more talent options to ensure attracting high calibre candidates
  • Develop and maximise direct recruiting opportunities reducing recruitment spend, through online social media marketing
  • Scheduling candidate interviews/assessment centres for hiring managers  – either face-to-face, Skype, or phone call – and expedite feedback from hiring managers
  • Meeting and greeting candidates who arrive for onsite interviews
  • Arranging travel/accommodation for candidate interviews
  • Preparation, coordination and attendance at recruitment events/fairs, as required
  • Ensuring appropriate policies and procedures and legal requirements are adhered to
  • with clear audit trails
  • Assisting with project work as determined by the HR Manager
  • Responding to MI requests and provide statistical information / HR metrics as required
  • Providing general administration and efficient support service as required
  • Identify areas for improvement and take a proactive approach to creating positive changes

Office Hours:

8.30am – 5.00pm                Monday to Thursday           (60 minute unpaid lunch)

8.30am – 4.30pm                Friday                                  (60 minute unpaid lunch)
